Make room for Andy Dirks?
I know it is still early in the season, but I am becoming very frustrated with Magglio Ordonez, he is hitting .159 (.227 OBP, .400 OPS). Andy Dirks is hitting .340 in 25 games and 94 ABs, also with 6 HR and 16 RBI and 10 stolen bases. I know there is a big jump from Triple-A to the big show, but when do you start giving this kid a look? How do you make a slot for him? We've seen young players burst onto the scene before. Ryan Raburn and Brennan Boesch also around will be great and there will be depth and youth.
Or do we start giving Casper Wells and Don Kelly more time?

Dirks and Sizemore
It can’t be any worse than whats going on right now.Give these guys a chance. The Tigers need a shot in the arm right now.
I think you mean ".400 OPS".
If Magglio had a .400 OBP, I don’t think we’d be complaining.
I’m not ready to panic quite yet. The Tigs have a lot invested in Maggs, so I would at least give him a few more weeks to get it together. I would rather see Sizemore than Rhymes, though.
Maybe it's platoon time...
When Maggs was struggling in 2009, he got platooned for lefty/righty matchups. Dirks would make a nice platoon mate with Maggs and/or Jackson. However, we’d have to make room for Dirks on the 40-man roster.
For this to happen, I think it would have to be Dirks up / Wells down or Dirks up / Release Kelly. Releasing Kelly would handle the 40-man question, but I don’t think the organization will do it. Demoting Wells seems more likely to me, but we still need a spot on the 40-man. It would be nice to release Thomas and bring up a long-relief replacement at the same time. As long as the replacement was on the 40-man, it would solve the Dirks issue.

JL hasn't given Wells much of a chance,
Wells should be playing instead of Kelly or Ajaxs right now.
Jackson is the starter
Kelly is LH…so far, that has dictated the playing time.
