Lineup Notes:
With Ramon Santiago being 8 for 17 against Bartolo Colon, you should find him starting at shortstop or second base for the series opener. Peralta is 2 for 5 against Colon and Rhymes has never faced him.

Yankees 2nd baseman Robinson Cano is day-to-day with a bruised left hand.

Analysis:
The Tigers are on a 6-game losing streak as they come back home to start a 4-game series against the Yankees. Tigers look to ace Justin Verlander to get the team back to winning and we should be thankful the calendar now reads May. In the month of April, Verlander is career 9-14 with a 4.75 ERA and in May, an impressive 18-8 with a 2.75 ERA.
Yankee pitchers Bartolo Colon and CC Sabathia are both coming off of solid pitching outings earning them both wins.
Also, Victor Martinez starts his first game of a rehab stint in Triple-A tonight.

Part 2 will publish Wednesday at 11am.

Tonight’s lineup: Jackson 8, Santiago 4, Ordonez dh, Cabrera 3, Boesch 9, Raburn 7, Peralta 6, Avila 2, Inge 5. Verlander is starting.

Against Bartolo Colon, with Verlander on the mound, at home? I mean, we’d better win today.
