That's kind of gross looking.

KEY STAT

8 unearned runs. Five thanks to a routine ball to Ramon Santiago. And hey, why let Ramon all the fun, Ryan Raburn asks.

KEY PLAY

Santiago muffs the third out. Five runs scored in the third inning after that to break a close game wide open.

KEY THOUGHTS

This game was a stinker. Don't mean to look like I'm laying it all on Santiago. Charlie Furbush -- who was optioned to Toledo to get work in during the All-Star Break -- just didn't have it. Nor did pretty much any pitcher that took the mound, excluding Lester Oliveros.

But I'm not going to say anything else about this game. It was awful. The end.

Justin Verlander is on the mound in the last game before the break.
