FLAWED LINEUP
Anyone notice that with Guillen, Avila, and Betemit hitting 6-9 the lineup is setup to be taken advantage of by a Lefty reliever like Oliver. All those guys have significantly worse split stats against LH pitcher.
Leyland should consider splitting them around…perhaps with our leadoff hitter…

You shouldn’t have to worry about the relievers. That plan worked flawlessly until Benoit decided to go all LOL on the mound.

Because one lefty reliever got them out one time through the order? All of the Rangers’ best relievers are right handed.

the tigers lineup is stacked such that relievers can easily be used to exploit favorable matchups.
if you had your weak hitters against lefties split, the LOOGY would be less effective, and potentially get pulled earlier – shortening the bullpen.
