Coach Carlos Guillen ?

It is painfully obvious that the career of Carlos Guillen is winding down. Here is a thought: Maybe the Tigers could move Gene Lamont to Bench Coach, a position most teams seperate from an actual base coaching job. Then they could move Tom Brookens to Lamont's empty  third base coach position and fill vacant first base with new coach Carlos Guillen.

This solves a number of issues. It creates a second Spanish speaking coaching position, which I think could only be a good situation with so many Latino players on the Tigers roster. It moves the frustrating at times Gene Lamont to a permanent position next to Leyland, and it gets Tom Brookens a bit more involved in a different aspect of the game so he is even more prepared when Jim Leyland rides off into the sunset.
