What to Watch For:
1. V-Mart unstoppable - Tigers designated hitter Victor Martinez has been one of the hottest bats for the Tigers in recent games. In his last 10, he is hitting .341 with 14 RBIs and 2 homeruns.
2. Fister showing his value - Tigers starter Doug Fister has been nothing short of incredible for the team. In his last 3 starts, he is 2-0 with a 0.79 ERA and 24 strikeouts. Since coming to the Tigers at the trade deadline, Fister is 4-1 with a 2.64 ERA. He is, however, winless in his career against the Twins (0-4, 4.10 ERA)
On Deck:
Tigers head off to Chicago to start a 3-game series against the White Sox. Rick Porcello is expected to kick the series off on Monday.

Yeah Tigers v. Twins
The only time I get to watch the Tigers on TV except for those exeptionally rare national TV games.
Don't Panic!
It's always funny to me
To see the odd matchups of who does well or poorly against one not-exceptional opponent. Baseball is an odd game.

Usually the samples aren't even big enough to mean anything.
But for those that are when it does happen, it is intriguing.
agreed
Five at bats isn’t much, but when you see someone is something crazy like 2 for 30 with 17 strikeouts, it catches the eye.

So Let Me Get This Straight
The projected starters for this upcoming series have the following 2011 win totals
Tigers 30
Twins 4
that terrifies me
Because it would be like baseball for the Twins to take at least two of the games in very odd and flukey fashion. (Yes, I still worry about Twinkie voodoo. Always have, always will. Even if they are mathematically ELIMINATED from the playoffs.)

yeah, but
Their loss totals are:
Twins 13
Tigers 31
"i think it will be mostly feast the rest of the year,"
our winning just below .500
their winning % just below .250
