Most frustrating players in majors (Spoiler alert for the Tiger fans)
Austin Jackson has the distinct (and dubious) honor of being listed as the most frustrating player in baseball.
David Schoenfield is quick to point out that The Cleaner is PLUS defender in center, but then goes on to highlight what many of us already know... that Austin strikes out too much, and JL probably isn't doing him any favors by leaving him in the leadoff spot.

Slight nitpick: Jackson is listed as one of five, not #1
Great find though, this article was interesting.
I read that article
I think it is way to early to put Jackson on that list. He has had two years, one good one bad. The strikeouts are bad, but he is still 4-5% over what his minor league average was. I can see him dropping that down to his minor league average over the next year or two, and while he still wouldn’t be a good lead off hitter that drop in K’s will make him much more valuable.
agreed
to put Jackson on this list is a bit early. Like you said he had a good rookie year (despite the strikeouts) followed up by a 2011 season that was disappointing. But if we’re gonna talk about guys that had disappointing years I think that Adam Dunn and Carl Crawford would be on the top of my list.

When I think of "Frustrating" players
Brad Penny, Ryan Perry, David Purcey, Brad Thomas, or Adam Everett comes to mind.
I’m quite happy with Ajax being an everyday player. He’s been up and down for 2 seasons, but he hasn’t been frustrating.
yeah honestly i'm not that frustrated by jackson at all

I am recommending this because of the use of the correct nickname.
The Cleaner is good for this team; hopefully he’ll start striking out a bit less.
I have a grand idea: let's win a game.
