Better 2012 JV or Fister?
While both of these guys will probably be all stars this year I think Fister will be better than JV by just a lttle bit. My reason is that Fister was a monster for us this year after a shaky first couple games he dominated everyone else. He also was the best pitcher for us in the postseason and we wouldnt have gotten past the yankees without him. Im not saying that JV will suck or anything he will still have his typical awesome year but I think its Fister time in the spotlight. But whats everyone elses opinon am I full of it? Please tell me

I think both JV and Fister will cool off a bit
But JV, at least in my mind, is certainly going to be one step ahead. Nothing on Fister, of course, but I don’t see him being better than JV

Not being quite as good as Justin Verlander . . .
. . . is nothing to be ashamed of.

I am still thrill we got Fister
We have nice 1 and 2 punch and if Max can be more consistence and Porcello maturing. We have a nice starting staff. The # 5 spot looks good with one of the young pitchers filling in or free agent signing.
JV
not even a question. Dude is one of the top 5 pitchers in the MLB. While Mr. Fister is good, he’s not THAT good.
No longer the Founder, President and CEO of the Ryan Raburn Fan Club
I think we probably caught lightning in a bottle with Fister.
He pitched about as well as Doyle Alexander did in 1987. I was expecting him to be a 3rd or 4th starter when we got him, so that’s what I’m expecting from him in 2012.
Going into last season, Verlander was #1 on the Tigers. He finished last season #1 in the American League. He’ll still be #1 on our team for the next several seasons.
Fister could be #2 but what is amazing is his salary
Fister frees up money to be spend elsewhere.
If Fister surpasses JV in 2012
I am buying WS tickets right now….
I'm so ahead of my time, my parents haven't met yet
If I had to bet I would take the strike out guy and give odds . . .
especially if the infield defense is Inge-Peralta-Raburn-Cabrera.
(That said, pick a stat other than K’s and with some luck Fister could beat JV.)
I am not a fan of Delmon Young.
