I know I've been a real female dog on this board. I'm going through The Change and I can be pretty emotional. Most of you are young and male and too young to have a wife in my position. Last night I totally freaked. I was in tears. Like other people in this group I was posting about how terrible he was. I also posted stuff like that on other boards as well. I don't know enough to say if he should be resigned or not. No closer is going to be perfect. Mr. Valverde saves about 85% of his games which is what you want from a closer. Of the fans and players no one was more heartbroken than Jose Valverde. I don't have TV service so I listen to the games on my computer and then later watch them when they are available. I was listening to the Tiger broadcast and they commented that Mr. Valverde appeared to be in pain so I suspect that is why he blew the save. Many of us commented about how terrible he was and called him names that I dont' want to repeat. I was guilty of it as well. I've read comments that his motion appeared to be off. If that's the case he should have talked to the pitching coach.
