A day after clinching the Central Division title, the Detroit Tigers dropped a 4-2 game in Kansas City on Tuesday. A pair of RBI off the bat of Miguel Cabrera was the only highlight of a night when a sleepy lineup and early substitutions kept the Tigers off the scoreboard.
Cabrera went 2-for-3, increasing his lead in two of three Triple Crown categories, before leaving the game in the fifth. Prince Fielder and Alex Avila also left midway through the game, giving Jim Leyland a chance to get playing time for some of his bench players.
Detroit was held to just six hits for the night.
Meanwhile Tigers starter Doug Fister did not only stay around for a full five innings before being lifted. He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks.
Luke Putkonen, Darin Downs and Brayan Villarreal combined to allow a run on two hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings on the mound for the Tigers.

Use this thread to talk about the Rangers and A's too. And Yankees-Red Sox, if it goes that long.
