Pirates get: Martinez who would be a massive upgrade over Barajas, even denfensively. Also get Boeasch who played miserably but has hit 28 HR in the minors and did pretty well for the tigers in 2011.
Tigers get: Reliable and fairly cheap closer(5-6 mill id guess) to replace Valverde. They also get rid of Martinez's 20 mill which they could use to acquire an outfielder(Swisher?) or a DH(Ortiz??). Also Lambo could be a 4th outfielder for the Tigers in the near future.
