Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Expect late evenings as every World Series game will be played during network prime time in the east.

Though we already had a very good idea when the start times would be for the World Series, MLB has officially set the Fall Classic's broadcast windows in stone.

Thanks to first pitches scheduled for prime time in the east, post 8 PM for every game, we in Detroit can expect some late nights. As usual, West Coast fans will have to hustle home from work to catch the early innings. Baseball fans remain at the mercy of big media.

All games will be televised on FOX with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver in the broadcast booth. All times Eastern:

  • Game 1 - Wednesday, Oct 24: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM
  • Game 2 - Thursday, Oct. 25: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM
  • Game 3 - Saturday, Oct. 27: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM
  • Game 4 - Sunday, Oct. 28: Air time - 8:00 PM, First pitch - 8:15 PM
  • (If necessary) Game 5 - Monday, Oct 29: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM
  • (If necessary) Game 6 - Wednesday, Oct. 31: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM
  • (If necessary) Game 7 - Thursday, November 1: Air time - 7:30 PM, First pitch - 8:07 PM

Games 1, 2, 6, 7 hosted by the National League representative (Giants or Cardinals).

Games 3, 4, 5 will be hosted by the Detroit Tigers.
