Questions about Pitchers and Catchers reporting
I am thinking about heading over to Lakeland this Monday for the first day of Pitchers and Catchers reporting, but I have a few questions if anyone has ever gone before. Is it even worth it, or is it better to wait till everyone reports (or not a bad idea to do both)? What is generally a good time to get there? Does it cost anything to get in that first day? If so, how much? Anyone else planning to go?
(if this is better off as a fan shot then please feel free to move it)

Never been, personally, but
there is this pretty cool site which has a lot of information about the Tigers’ spring training and the facilities and history at Lakeland.

"King of Minutiae"
and there's this website with a few different links
The second one down has a video by Lynn Henning on the whole experience. Pretty cool.

Excellent
I had similar questions but for once all have reported. I’ll be in Florida feb. 27th-Mar. 2nd but won’t be able to catch the Mocs game that day. I was hoping to drop by the complex sometime that week.
Best band of all time. In my opinion, of course.
I'd also like to ask
Does anybody have any experience with campgrounds surrounding Lakeland? I have this dream of heading down to FLA next year.

No campgrounds, just hotels.
Unless you’re way outside the city limits. I could be wrong, but I grew up in West Orange County.East Lake County, and there’s not much as far as public campgrounds.
I'd definitely recommend going
I’ve been twice, once to Lakeland and once to see us play the Phillies in Clearwater. I would wait until the full squad has reported.
Did we really just sign Prince Fielder? Holllllllllly sh*t.
I have been to a couple games last year
but have never gone for any of the workouts/practices. I just wanted to check and try and gather some advice on proper etiquette and also just good times to get there and other things to do while I am there with no game going on.
I'd love to be able to go with you.
Sounds awesome!

First Timer
I am heading down March 8 – 12. I have tickets to see them play in Lakeland again Phillies and Nationals. Any advice for a 1st timer? Easy to get autographs for kids? Places to go? Time to get to park?

I went last year
Get the strawberry shortcake at Joker Marchant! And standing along the outfield wall during BP is fun. If you’ll have kids with you, they can schmooze the guys out there for a ball :)
