Ad: Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball begins

Yahoo! Sports' Fantasy Leagues have opened up for the season. You can find the talking points below. The new one is their pro league, making playing in "pay" leagues against strangers possible for those who enjoy that.

I only play in free leagues. I'm just in it for fun. And that's fine, too. There are plenty of good tools Yahoo! provides, and I've been playing in their leagues for at least 10 years now. Might actually be 11. In any case, they seem to do a better job every year, and I'll be hosting a BYB league at Yahoo! this year.

Details on that league will follow. I'm aiming for a draft around the weekend of March 24. I don't like to do it too early in the year. At least 14 teams will be involved, to make it a deep and challenging league. And it will be head-to-head. But like I've said in the comments section of other posts, I'll provide more info on that when we get to March. After talking with fellow BYB front-page authors, I think we'll end up hosting a rotisserie league as well. (I might not play in that one, but David's already talking excitedly.)

Plus, maybe if you're really lucky I'll provide an autographed picture of my dog to the winners ... if we can only find a pet-safe ink pad big enough for his paw!

Do you guys mind if i join?

If theres a spot available when you guys make the BYB league, id love to join. Although im a cubs fan first, i grew up in Michigan and i follow the tigers very closely.

Rotisserie

I’d love to play if one is started, so please get ahold of me. I’ve been absentee from here for a while and didn’t play fantasy at all last year in the first time in forever. I miss it though and would like to play again this year, plus I was good at it. I just need to find a new league now.

I want in!

I have already had one Yahoo draft. I drafted 2nd & got Miggy! Also have Boesch, Sherzer, Fister & the Big Potato. As I stated on a previous post, the only drawback to a BYB league is that the Tigs are sure to get drafted high. I can just see Jhonny going in the 4th round…

I've been using Yahoo for fantasy hockey for 12 years now

It’s great. I did baseball for a couple year with my friends. The first yer I did the baseball, I filled my entire team with Tigers, just for shits and giggles. That was 2006, and I destroyed my league.

I would like to be part of the BYB fantasy hockey league if I may. I promise to behave.
