Living here in Toronto, frankly I’m surprised nobody complains about how much Rogers rakes in from practically everyone, and how little it spends on its highest-profile and most-public asset. They own the cable company, the stadium, and — perhaps most importantly — the sports channel that shows almost every Jays game. Sure, they can cook the books, move money around and cry the blues… but everyone knows Rogers is bursting at the seams with cash, and they’re perpetually third in the AL East.
