Grady Sizemore out 8- 12 weeks
According to several sources, Cleveland outfielder Grady Sizemore had a surgical procedure today and will miss the start of the regular season. Per Danny Knobler on Twitter, Sizemore is expected to be out 8- 12 weeks. The Tribe are counting on Grady to help close a 15 game gap behind the Tigers in the AL Central standings.

Isn't Chris Perez out a month or so also?
Now just waiting on the announcement that Travis Hafner got hurt too

Sucks for Grady.
Looks like this is the beggining of the end for the guy. It’s been my experience, no matter how minor the procedure, that anytime your back is operated on, it spells trouble. I’ve never seen a back surgery end up at 100%. Hope the guy recovers and gets back to playing the game, and I’m sure this must be frustrating for him, but I’d take the under on whether or not he plays 65 games this year

All our rivals, except KC, are so dependent on comeback seasons
Grady, Choo, Hafner
Rios, Dunn, Peavy
Mauer, Morneau, Liriano
I give the Twins’ trio the best chance of bouncing back, but their supporting cast still comes up way short of a full deck.

Since those trifectas are unlikely
Our biggest threat would be if KC came up with adequate starting pitchers.

Not that I'm in the business of crying tears for Clevelanders
but Grady’s career really has been a sad and disappointing one. It’s a shame.
It really is sad...
He’s got so much talent. But I’ll only feel bad for a moment. :)
