We came dangerously close to more familial kissing today, but fortunately Quintin Berry finished the game on a good note for the Tigers when he drove the ball to right field. Detroit defeated the Mets, 7-6, in the 10th inning.

Of course, wins are always nice, but we always look at the bigger pictures around here. We saw fifth-starter candidate Casey Crosby show he continues to struggle with command. He walked three and struck out one in 2 1/3 innings.

Prince Fielder went 3-for-3 with a home run; Brandon Inge went 0-for-5. Delmon Young drove in two runs and had two hits. Miguel Cabrera looks like he'll be just fine at third.
