The Detroit Tigers are finally taking the field a little less than two weeks after pitchers and catchers officially reported to Lakeland, Fla., for the start of spring training 2012. As is the tradition, the first game is an exhibition against Lakeland's own Florida Southern College, a Division 2 baseball team that claims nine national championships with the most recent in 2005.
