Zach Miner is back with the Detroit Tigers organization after a three-year absence.

Not much to add to this report, but have at it:

Miner has not appeared in a major league game since Oct. 6, 2009. (The infamous one.)

He has a 4.24 ERA across 157 games (35 starts) played between 2006-09.

I'm sure some explanation will be provided by the Tigers at some point. Maybe.

We'll update this story if there is one, but I wouldn't expect this to mean an instant invitation for Miner to join the Tigers' major league roster.
