Fox's Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Brandon Inge will be a member of the Oakland A's in the near future.

We'll update as we hear more on this matter.
Rosenthal originally hinted that the A's could be a frontrunner to sign Inge when he cleared waivers at 2 p.m. this afternoon. It didn't take A's GM Billy Beane long to make a move, as the news broke a mere 24 minutes later. As I understand it (and I'm sure Tigerdog will correct me if I'm wrong), the A's will pay a pro-rated portion of the league minimum salary, which comes out of the $6 million that the Tigers owe Inge (which includes a $500,000 buyout for 2013).
