What a great site. The information and commentary here are second to none. Great to hear the thoughts of people who actually know baseball, and follow the Tigers because they love them. Not just because they were assigned the beat. I have been a fan since I can remember. Some of my fondest memories are of my Father and Grandfather explaining the game to me as we cheered the mighty Tigs to victory. I can still see six year old me throwing a tennis ball against the tree in our backyard as I pretended to be Jack Morris. Same story every time. Two outs, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, game seven of the World Series. When I was seven or eight Dad took me to my first game at The Corner. I was absolutely floored by the immensity of the building and my relatively close proximity to my favorite Tigers heroes. The Bastard Twins would win that day but I bore witness to an Alan Trammell home run. (Kirby Puckett and Kent Hrbek also hit back to back homers that day). Despite the loss and the gigantic I beam directly in front of my seat, I had an absolute ball that day. We weren't even out of the stadium yet and I was already asking Dad "When can we come back?". Much has transpired since then. Both in my own life and with our beloved Tigers. Grandpa is gone now. So is Tiger Stadium. However, this summer I will take my son to his first game and pass down the tradition. That my friends friends is my favorite thing about this team. Memories, and the opportunity to create new ones. Go Tigers!
