Now that it is official and Delmon Young has been suspended for 7 days, the question will be asked many times over.

Should Delmon Young be released from the Tigers?

I personally say no he should not. I believe he deserves a second chance. I also believe that he should be held on a short leash and if he messes up, he should be gone then.

This is the first incident that he has had with the Tigers, even though he has been with the Tigers a short time. There are a few things that he should be required to do, such as Alchohol Counciling and Sensitivity Training at the very least, but i think he should have a public appology to the Jewish community. (above what he has already done).

Miguel Cabrera has had a few VERY public incidents with the police and alchohol and he was allowed to come back, so I believe that Delmon at least deserves a second chance.

Of course, most baseball fans will have short memories if he comes back and plays amazing baseball. Thats the nature of the beast.
