Two huge moments

Beside the clutch hitting there were two pretty neat moments in this game that shouldn't go unrecognized.

The first was the plunking of Adrian Gonzalez. If it was intentional, it sent a message to the Red Sox for their beaning of Prince yesterday. It seems reckless to intentionally hit a guy when you're trailing, but after Coke completely owned David Ortiz I felt like maybe Bobby V wasn't being overly paranoid about the beaning. Old school baseball. Don't mess with our $200M man or we'll mess with yours.

The next big play came courtesy of Duane Below who was given the lovely task of facing Adrian Gonzalez again with men on base and chance for the Red Sox to add to their lead in the 11th. After AG bombed one out against Schlereth, the ol' lefty vs lefty matchup didn't really seem to be in our favor, but JL had no choce as Benoit was obviously gassed. Below comes in and strikes him out on a full count fastball.

After that, I was feeling the karma for the Tigers in the bottom half of the inning and they did not disappoint.
