Okay, so since not everyone is involved in fantasy baseball, and those who are not do not want to be subjected to talk about it (which is I think a very fair thought) it might be useful to have a place for the fantasy baseballers to chat outside of normal game threads and other posts which have no relevance to fantasy.

So, consider this an open thread to discuss how proud you are of your team names (mine are the Rabid Baboons, Bidahochi Coyotes, and Derek Jeters Never Prosper), how they are currently doing (I have no idea as I keep forgetting they exist, to be perfectly honest), which players are causing you the most angst, the existential conflict a fan feels when they have Nick Punto on their team no matter how much they hate his Twinkie-tainted guts, the annoyance of forgetting to set your roster, etc. etc. etc.

This is actually the first year I have ever been involved at all with fantasy baseball after just listening cluelessly to friends talking about their fantasy teams and feeling rather like I imagine friends who were not involved in playing Shadowrun or other role-playing games felt when we would grumble about the stupid limitations on cyberware that kept our characters from becoming more effective mercenaries. Just hypothetically, of course.

So I am most definitely not the person to talk to about who to start or who to trade or whatever, but I'm sure the comments will be full of advice, good, bad, indifferent, and potentially sabotaging depending on the interests of the person giving the advice.

At any rate, this will keep the fantasy baseball talk separate from the real baseball talk, where Punto-hatred is the only proper emotion, no matter if you have him on your dang fantasy team or not. :)
