Since the Tigers don't have a pick until the early 90s, what exactly does that mean in terms of how much money we are allowed to spend on the first pick (with the new slotting rules in place)? Can we throw a ton of money at our first pick even though it is so low, or do we have to stick by some rules for it? I'm all for us taking a risk on a guy with signability concerns since we have such a low pick, but don't know how the new rules impact our strategy. Anybody with knowledge on all of that?
