Reading the Detroit News comments section on Tigers stories

MY EYES. THEY BURN.

It's like staring into the maw of hell. Just nothing but darkness and insanity.

Here's a comment on this AM's Henning piece on the Tigers trading Brantly or McCann for help at second base:

Tigers should trade Avila and bring McCann behind Gerald Laird. Avila is an average catcher at best, so it does not make sense to let go of the young catcher that everyone agrees on his potential. Reply · Like · Follow Post · about a minute ago
I don't even know where to begin. I thought about flaming the guy and calling him a moron, but that's where it gets complicated for me: There are different kids of folks here. There's that moron on the "Huge Show" who is basically a football guy that knows nothing about baseball but talks like he's Buster Olney--I can't stand that guy and believe he should be mocked like it's a part time job.
Then there are just casual fans like my Mom who generally don't know much about how baseball works but want the team to do well. I don't want to flame those people, I just want to educate the guy. So, I went easy on the kid since I could see he's a college student I and explained to him the value of a lefty hitting catcher with power who's under player control for the next three years.
OK, end of rant. I just had to say something.
