I did this last year a little earlier in the season, but since May wasn't anything to write home about for the Tigers, I decided to wait till the All Star Break this year. Think back to your expectations before the season began. The question is, who has most surprised and delighted you this season so far, and who has most disappointed you.

I'm not talking about the people you thought would do well and have done well, or the people you thought would slump and have done so. I'm talking about the players whose season hasn't gone as you thought it might, whether for better or worse. My picks:

Delight: Has to be Quintin Berry, since I had no idea who he was in April. What a delightful surprise he's been. I don't care about what happens in the second half of the season -- he's been a joy to watch in the first half.

Disappointment: This is difficult, because injuries have played a role this season. However, Brennan Boesch has been the greatest disappointment among the un-injured Tigers. We had come to depend on First Half Boesch the last two years, and he didn't show up this year. Brennan -- you disappoint.
