AL East

New York Yankees: 97-65, Playing out of their minds right now, 2nd best team in the league. Prediction: Kuroda has an ERA over 4.5 in the 2nd half.

Tampa Bay Rays: 87-75, Pitching and defense have been just OK this year. Prediction: Evan Longoria lights fire to this offense some time this year.

Boston Red Sox: 85-77. Getting Crawdaddy and Ellsbury back will greatly help this underachieving bunch. Still have concerns with the pitching staff and clubhouse. Prediction: Vicente Padilla is DFA'd (hate this guy)

Toronto Blue Jays: 84-78, I think AA will get a big name at the Trade Deadline this year to improve their mediocre pitching. Prediction: AA deals for Matt Garza.

Baltimore Orioles: 80-82, Have been playing way over their heads this year. Poor pitching and an inconsistent offense will hurt this team. Prediction: Birds try and fail to acquire some pitching. 2 untouchables for them are Machado and Bundy.

AL Central

Detroit Tigers: 88-74, Starting to get really hot. Prediction: Avila, Raburn, and Peralta will heat up big time in the 2nd half. Bank on it. Also, Tigers will sweep Cleveland at least twice in the 2nd half.

Chicago White Sox: 86-76, This team is legit. Will be close all year. Prediction: Chris Sale and Jake Peavy will both have ERA's over 4.00 in 2nd half.

Kansas City Royals: 81-81, Not that bad of a team. Will really start to make noise next year. Prediction: Wil Myers gets called up and hits at least 7 homers. ( 3 against the Tigers)

Cleveland Indians: 78-84. Have been outscored by 29 runs already this year. This is an average team at best. BTW Chris Perez sucks. Prediction: Chris Perez blows at least 5 saves in the 2nd half.

Minnesota Twins: 74-88, Not much to say. Prediction: Last place.

AL West

Texas Rangers: 97-65. The most complete team on paper in the AL. Prediction: Roy Oswalt has an ERA of over 4.00 and Rangers trade for Zack Greinke.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: 92-70, A very good team, will get the first wild card. Prediction: Mike Trout wins Rookie of the Year but loses AL MVP to Miguel Cabrera.

Oakland Athletics: 83-79. One of the best pitching staffs in baseball. Prediction: Jarrod Parker finished 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting.

Seattle Mariners: 70-92, Jesus Montero is overrated. Prediction: Dustin Ackley hits over .300 in 2nd half.
