Twins 4, Tigers 2: Offense invisible, bullpen implodes, Leyland takes the heat

Game 157 Overflow Thread: Tigers at Twins

Bullets and whatnot:

  • There have been very few hits in tonight's game, but at least we have more than the Pittsburgh Pirates. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey has the Pirates hitless through 8 innings.
  • Drew Smyly has 5 strikeouts through 5 innings. He has thrown 87 pitches.
  • Scott Diamond has been much more efficient, throwing 58 pitches through his five innings of work.
