As it's a later game tonight, here's a good topic. Some already got started with their answers. Weigh in! --Kurt
Over at another sports site, there's a story today about what game various major leaguers (and other assorted folks) would want to go back and see, if they could go back and watch one baseball game in history.
I thought this would be an interesting topic of discussion for all of us, so... which one would you choose?
After thinking about this for a while, I came up with one which should be no surprise for any Tiger fan: Game 5 of the 1984 World Series. The Corner was going nuts, Gibby hit a pair of dingers, and of course the Bless You Boys won the World Series that night. Seems like a pretty good game to catch!
Now, your turn. Would you choose something from the recent past, something from the distant past, something Tigers-related...? (Personally, my second choice would've been to watch something from the 1880s; I'd like to see where baseball came from, and what it was like over a century ago. I've always been curious about that era in the sports' history; maybe a Detroit Wolverines game from 1887 when then won the NL pennant?)
