Tigers fans road trips 2013

Recently my wife and I have been taking a summer road trip where we get to do something we both enjoy. A few years back we went to Chicago, spending the first day exploring the city and shopping, and watched the Tigers beat the Sox the next day. The next year we visited Cleveland. We went to Cedar Point the first two days, then visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and then over to Progressive. My wife is a Tigers fan, but I don't think she'd agree to a 4 hour or more car drive if there wasn't more than just a game involved.

After taking last year off, I'm starting to plan a trip for this year. The tentative plan is to visit Niagara Falls on Monday July 1, then catch the Tigers at Toronto either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Is anyone else planning a trip this year to an opposing stadium? I know Bless You Boys has members all over the map and thought this would be a great way for those venturing into enemy territory to get some insight into the area.

So, Southern Ontario natives or those with Niagara Falls experience, is one day visiting the Falls enough? If we were to leave Detroit around 8am Monday, I figured we'd get there around noon, explore, and stay the night. Would it be better to spend Tuesday around the Falls as well and catch the Wednesday game in Toronto, or will we have seen all there is to see by Monday night and be better off spending the day Tuesday in Toronto? Or, having never been to Buffalo, is that a place worth spending a day in between?

Where will you be going this year?
