The one constant in the Fielder trade hype is more about Miggy moving back to 1st base, because of health and defensive reasons. This seems to be a bigger topic than Fielder's performance in the last 2 post seasons. The other piece of the puzzle is Castellanos playing in LF or 3rd base. So in reality the Tigers are trying to trade Fielder for a LF or 3rd baseman that can hit in the top part of the line-up (1-5), and make that trade with a team that needs help at 1st base or DH, and will also be on Fielder's list of 10 teams that he can be traded too.SOME POSSIBLE TRADES; W/ CASTELLANOS AT 3RD CESPEDES IN OAKLAND KINSLER IN TEXAS STANTON IN MIAMI W/CASTELLANOS IN LF BOGAERTS IN BOSTON HEADLEY IN SD (DO NOT SEE THESE LAST 3 TRADES HAPPENING) WRIGHT IN NYM LONGORIA TB The best possible trades I see to happen are Bogaerts in Boston, or Kinsler in Texas. Both have ther pro's and con's, Bogaerts more of a future of pro's and Kinsler less con's. But imagine the Tigers soon one day being able to boast a YOUNG infied of Bogaerts, Iglesias, Perez, with Miggy at 1st. There are many possible trades, including in Milwaukee, considering Fielder's past success there, even with Hart returning, a trade for Ramirez is not out of the question , or some possible 3 team deals. Like to hear some of your thoughts. But the main theme seems everyone is interested in Miggy moving back to 1st base. And for that to happen the Tigers must open the position and $$$. And neither Miggy or Fielder like to be the DH, and the Tigers have the perfect DH in V-Mart.
