Check out what someone just said that is very logical.
Dombrowski has had a near perfect offseason so far. He has improved the infield defense in all 4 positions: an estimated 40 runs saved according to ESPN. That number seems too high to me... but let us say its 30 runs saved. That equates to 6 wins.
6 wins is like getting a $24M player.
He also saved more than $40MM over 5-6 years by getting 3 near league minimum guys under control for 15+ years of service time in the Fister deal.
And he replaced a 3 WAR player (Fielder) with a 3 WAR player (KInsler) in a position of need.
Does he really need to do more to keep spoiled Tigers fans happy?
If all of this turns out to be true, the 30-40 runs saved plus all the years of young cost controlled players we got Dombrowski may have just done it again. Maybe we need to have more faith in the guy. He is the GM who put this team together from scratch.
