GIF: Prince Fielder's diving stop saves extra bases

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Kyle Seager was robbed by an unexpected defender in the late innings tonight.

Prince Fielder gets a lot of gruff from pundits and fans alike for his defense, and for good reason. He made a great diving stop tonight while the game was still in the balance, saving a leadoff hit in the top of the eighth inning.

Had this gotten by Prince, there's a good chance the Mariners would have tied the game in the eighth. Instead, the Tigers broke the game open in the bottom of the inning.
