Steven Moya can add another All-Star selection to his minor league record, marking the fourth time in 2014 that Moya has been named an All-Star. Double-A Erie Seawolves manager, Lance Parrish, will be joining Moya as the two represent the Tigers in Saturday's Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game.
The rosters for both the East and West teams were announced Monday afternoon. The game will be broadcast on the MLB Network and streamed live on MLB.com on November 1 at 8 p.m. EST
Parrish was chosen as the West team's manager after his AFL West team, the Glendale Desert Dogs, moved into first place over the weekend.
After 12 games with Glendale, Moya is batting .286 with a .449 slugging percentage, eight RBI, a home run, three doubles, a triple, and 10 runs scored in 49 at-bats.
Moya has stolen four bases in five attempts, walking four times while striking out 16 times. He leads the team with 22 total bases and is tied for the team lead in RBI.
Previously, Moya had been selected to the Mid-Season All-Star game, was named the All-Star Game Top Star, and was a Post-Season All-Star.
Moya was also named the 2014 Most Valuable Player, was selected to the 2014 World Team All-Star Futures Game, and won the Double-A MiLB Joe Bauman Home Run Award.
