You'll have to forgive me for this post being late. I was watching the USA-Ghana game and completely forgot about the Tigers playing until I got my text with the score. Also, this is a page to FieldersChoice. I miss your list. Please and thank you.
As you could tell, the Royals have been playing good baseball of late. They are currently only half a game back of the Tigers in the AL Central (two back in the loss column). Their "team of the future" from 2010 has started to mature nicely, and if they continue to grow at this rate, it will be a big annoyance for the Tigers. I think we can all agree that the Tigers' window is starting to close and the Royals' is opening. Here's hoping that this will be just a phase and the real KC Royals will reappear next week or something.
We've spoken quite a bit about how great Founders Brewing Company is in this space. I know that we are all big fans of their oeuvre. Today, I'm going to review the Devil Dancer Triple IPA.
I am a huge fan of a unique IPA. I quite like how this has a pleasant symphony of both pine and citrus as well as the aggressive floral hoppiness that gives an IPA its true character. The deep red color looks great in the glass and tastes even better going down with spicy, toasty notes smoothing things out with the aggressive hop texture. It is an explosion of flavor that makes both the hoppy and malty characters stand out. Ten different hop varieties combine to give this beer a 12% ABV rating and 112 IBUs, so don't try to drink four of them in a night. Sip one with a perfectly cooked steak and a nice cool night.
Founders Brewing Company is located in Grand Rapids, MI.
