Jarrod Saltalamacchia caught Jose Fernandez for eight games in his career. This time, he caught hold of a 83 mph curveball and delivered it to fans in the right-field stands.
He's having a pretty good debut for the Tigers -- made even better because the Marlins are covering almost all of the $8 million salary he is owed this season after releasing him last year.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia (DET): 2-run HR off Jose Fernandez. It is only the 9th HR allowed by Fernandez in 27 career starts at Marlins Park.

It wasn't just the dinger for Saltalamacchia, either. In the first inning he threw the speedy Dee Gordon out at second base.
