Beer of the Series 4.25: Cleveland Indians

So apparently when your local basketball team wins it's city's first professional championship in 52 years, your local baseball team is allowed to never ever lose a baseball game ever again. I apparently missed this rule, but it must be true, because right now, the Indians not only cannot seem to lose, but they win everything comfortably. Their average margin of victory during their current 12 game winning streak? 4.25 runs/game. That's preposterous. That means, on average, you're keeping the opponent out of slam range. During this time, they've opened up a 6-game lead over the 2015 World Series champs and a 7.5-game lead over your Tigers, so we definitely needed a drink while they slapped the Tigers around over the weekend.

Tri-City Brewing Company was started over 20 years ago by a man with a bucket, and today, it boasts four solid everyday brews including our series feature, the Torchon Belgian Pale Ale.

Using Trappist yeast, the Torchon Belgian Pale is a delicate, fragrant, slightly fruity beer that gets its name from the lacing left on the glass as you drink it (Torchon is a type of lace). The deep golden color and slightly hoppy finish make this a great easy drinking beer for a sunny day on the porch, and at 5.5% ABV and 26 IBUs, it's a beer you can drink all weekend watching...well, hopefully something better than what you had to watch last weekend.

Tri-City Brewing Company is located in Bay City, Michigan.
