All four of the affiliates that were in action yesterday lost. Lakeland's game against Brevard County was suspended during the second inning. The Flying Tigers trail 6-0 in that contest, and play will be resumed later today. The GCL Tigers had the day off. And continuing his rehab assignment, Alex Avila had a nice day and went 2-4.

Triple-A: Toledo Mud Hens (34-51)

L, 5-0 vs. Lehigh Valley. The Mud Hens were shutdown in this contest, as they only recorded three hits. However, Alex Avila was a huge bright spot in the loss. Continuing his rehab assignment, Avila went 2-4. Alex has now notched seven hits in his last twenty-one at-bats for Toledo. In that same span, he also has two doubles and a home run.

Double-A: Erie SeaWolves (41-39)

L, 2-0 vs. Richmond. The SeaWolves fell behind early, and were only able to record six hits. However, Eugenio Suarez had a nice day. Suarez went 2-3 with a double, and also coaxed a walk. Will Clinard pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in relief.

L, 8-1 vs. Bowling Green. Charlie Gillies was roughed up for seven runs, and the West Michigan offense only accounted for one run on five hits. Jason King was credited with the lone RBI for the Whitecaps, as he drove in Jeff Holm with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.

L, 6-2 vs. Tri-City. Starter Preston Jamison was tagged with the loss, as he lasted just 2.2 innings and gave up six earned runs. Connecticut was held to six hits, with their two runs being driven in by Pat Leyland and Austin Green. Austin Schotts notched one hit and Ben Verlander went 0-4.
