Connecticut was the only affiliate during yesterday's action to win. Toledo had the day off, as the International League competed against the Pacific Coast League in the Triple-A All-Star Game. Corey Knebel tossed a scoreless inning for West Michigan.

Double-A: Erie SeaWolves (49-46)

L, 5-4 vs. Akron. Erie owned a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, but Will Clinard and Melvin Mercedes blew the lead and the SeaWolves lost in walk-off fashion. James McCann and Jamie Johnson drove in two runs apiece for Erie. Francisco Lindor, Cleveland’s top prospect according to MLB.com, went 1-3.

L, 15-5 vs. GCL Blue Jays. An eight-run third inning proved to be too much for the Tigers to overcome. Starter Emanuel Chavez was the victim of the tough frame, and the right-hander went on to allow nine runs over just 2 2/3 innings of work. Taylor Johnson drove in three runs for the Tigers, while Rashad Brown and Orvin Tovar both knocked in one run apiece. The ballgame lasted just seven innings, as a doubleheader was supposed to be played, but was not finished due to rain.
