Toledo and West Michigan won during yesterday's action. The GCL Tigers split their doubleheader and Lakeland's game was postponed due to rain. Avisail Garcia had a big day for Toledo and Corey Knebel recorded his fourth professional save for West Michigan.

Triple-A: Toledo Mud Hens (42-58)

W, 4-2 vs. Buffalo. Toledo jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and never looked back. Avisail Garcia combined with Nick Castellanos to go 5-8 at the plate with three runs scored and one RBI. Kyle Lobstein earned the win, while Jose Valverde notched the save.

Starter Patrick Cooper took the loss, as the right-hander surrendered six runs on nine hits over four innings of work. Marcus Lemon drove in two runs for Erie, while Jamie Johnson drove in the other. Jameson Taillon, who is Pittsburgh’s second ranked prospect according to MLB.com, earned the win for Altoona. Taillon pitched seven innings and allowed five hits while walking two batters and striking out seven.

Jason King, Adolfo Reina and Harold Castro also drove in one run apiece. Corey Knebel struck out the side in the ninth to earn his fourth professional save.
