Toledo, Erie, West Michigan and the GCL Tigers all won during yesterday's action. Lakeland was postponed due to rain. Corey Knebel notched his fifth professional save for West Michigan, continuing his impressive start to his career.

Triple-A: Toledo Mud Hens (43-59)

W, 12-3 vs. Buffalo. The Mud Hens scored two or more runs in four different frames. Jordan Lennerton was the only Mud Hen to not drive in a run. Jose Alvarez earned the win by hurling the game’s first six innings.

W, 6-4 vs. Altoona. The SeaWolves fell behind, 2-0, but rallied back to outscore Altoona, 6-2, over the game’s final eight innings. Ryan Robowski earned the win by tossing two scoreless innings from out of the bullpen. Melvin Mercedes then came on to notch his fourth save of the season. Tyler Collins and Eugenio Suarez both homered for Erie.

Low-A: West Michigan Whitecaps (47-51)

W, 5-4 vs. Peoria. West Michigan battled back from an early deficit, and a three-run fourth inning put the Whitecaps ahead for good. Lance Durham hit his tenth home run of the season. Endrys Briceno earned the win for West Michigan and Corey Knebel continued his impressive start to his career by recording his fifth professional save.

Buck Farmer started for the Tigers and allowed three runs on five hits over three innings. Pat Leyland hit a home run and drove in two RBIs for Connecticut. Ben Verlander, Dominic Ficociello and Brett Harrison also drove in a run apiece.
