Tough day for the affiliates as only Lakeland won a game in splitting a doubleheader. Top prospects Nick Castellanos and Minnesota phenom Miguel Sano put on power displays.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens (15-32)

L, 7-5 vs. Syracuse. Derek Hankins pitched very well, but a bullpen meltdown spoiled this game. Jordan Lennerton and Castellanos went a combined 5-8 with 5 RBIs and 10 total bases in a losing effort.

L, 5-3 vs. Fort Myers. Lakeland dropped the first game of a double-header. Wilsen Palacios struggled to keep the ball in the yard, as Miguel Sano and Kennys Vargas went deep for Fort Myers. Will Clinard continues to pitch well in relief.
