Verlander to Rest for Remainder of Season

Story here.

I know that winning the Central would be an important achievement for this franchise and Justin Verlander could be an intrical part of this success.  However, there is no need to completely wear this guy's arm down before the playoff series begin.

When Verlander struggled this year, the blame was usually put on fatigue.  He sometimes has the tendency to leave fastballs up in the zone or not have his breaking pitch work, which ultimately led to some pretty bad outings.  Hopefully this is avoided in the playoffs.

completely agree
Having a healthy, strong rotation is perhaps the most important thing in the playoffs.  I totally support resting Verlander.  I'd also be fine with Bonderman missing his next start to rest his ankle.

Obviously
I want the Tigs to take the division, but I'd much rather have a strong staff when it matters most.  If Bonderman has to miss his next start, I'd be completely fine throwing in Ledezma or Miner for a spot start.  Maybe even Maroth?
