  1. Wow!
  2. Cabrera might be the best position player to put on a Tigers uniform since...jeez, Al Kaline?
  3. I'm pretty bearish on Dontrelle Willis, but I think he will more than do. Weren't we talking about Jason Jennings and Kris Benson last night? His numbers have been sliding and his arm has been abused. A more positive take on Willis is that he will no longer need to be the face of a bad franchise and can settle in as a no. 3 or 4 guy on a contending team.
  4. It stings a bit to see what we gave up in this trade. Our farm system is looking pretty bare right now, with the obvious exception of Porcello. I will miss Maybin and the opportunity to watch his tools develop. Miller still has ace potential but I had a feeling since the end of the season that he would was the high-end prospect most likely to get traded.
  5. Brandon Inge. What happens to him? Is he a Supersub or a guy we trade for bullpen help?
  6. Oh yeah....Our bullpen is still pretty weak. We need another arm.
  7. Before anyone says that we mortgaged the future to win right now, take a good look at the way the Tigers have staggered their contracts. Even if we fail to win in the 08/09 window, a bunch of money is going to come off the books in the next few years. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the Large Market Detroit Tigers to the party
  8. Granderson, Verlander, Bonderman, Cabrera, Zumaya(hopefully), Willis(hopefully)...Still a lot of good young talent in the organization, just not in the minors.
  9. If things really go sour next year, expect this team to get blown up faster than you can say "What's that ticking sound?"
  10. We still have Marcus Thames and Ryan Raburn. Scott Kasmir can't be far away.
