Another One of Those...

Per Ken Rosenthal:

The Tigers tried to acquire Devil Rays closer Danys Baez before signing free-agent closer Todd Jones to a two-year, $11 million contract. The Rays asked for two top prospects -- right-hander Joel Zumaya and center fielder Curtis Granderson -- and a third minor leaguer. The Tigers would have been more comfortable trading players like center fielder Nook Logan and Double-A right-hander Humberto Sanchez.

Granderson's name has been mentioned quite a bit this offseason, and it looks like I'm happy he wasn't traded once again. Similar to the Vazquez rumor a couple weeks ago.
