The All-Star game returns to Detroit for the fourth time tonight. The last time was in 1971, truly a distant era in baseball for a couple of reasons I'll cite here. Firstly, four Tigers were on the AL roster: Kaline, Cash, Freehan, and Lolich. Secondly, a whopping fourteen players from both teams didn't enter the game, a sure sign that even though This One Counts (TM), it doesn't Count as much as the Old Ones.
Pudge put on a great show in the HR Derby last night, and here's predicting we get more of the same tonight in between coronations of Bobby Abreu as the next great baseball star.
