It looked bad. It looked broken. Brandon Inge said he was sure that the line drive off of Jeremy Bonderman's wrist had surely shattered a bone. Bonderman reflexively tried to stop the ball with his pitching hand, a reflex everyone wishes he could have suppressed in a game that was quickly turning into a blowout.
It's not broken, though, at least not according to any preliminary tests. There should be more information today.
If there is a sliver lining, and it's small, it's that it probably isn't a bad idea that Bonderman, sixth in the league in innings, gets a little rest. But please make it a little rest. Like one or two starts.
