WS Game 3: Tigers @ Cardinals

New, comments

Nate Robertson (13-13, 3.84) vs. Chris Carpenter (15-8, 3.09)

Carpenter has been amazing at Busch Stadium this season. Overall he is 8-4 with a 1.81 ERA in 17 starts. He's very strong against right handed hitters, only allowing a .210 BA against them. He is 2-1 this postseason with his loss coming against the Mets in his last start at Shea Stadium.

Nate Robertson is very strong against leftys. Robertson has a .181 BAA and a 0.72 WHIP against them. Very impressive. Of his 29 homeruns allowed this season, only 2 have come against left handed batters. Nate was very good in his last start against the A's, holding the Oakland lineup to 0 runs in 5.0 IP. He's 1-1 this postseason.

I know that there will still be a lot of talk concerning Kenny Rogers tonight. Unfortunate that it had to happen. I'm hoping for some good baseball.

Go Tigers!
