The Tigers were prominently featured on sports shows today. However, it wasn't for their play. Following their dismal performance yesterday, Manager Jim Leyland remarked that they "stunk" and "weren't ready to play."
Hopefully the comments and the attention they received have sparked the Tigers as they embark on an important West Coast road trip.
Tonight game in Oakland will see the pitching matchup of Justin Verlander (1-1, 6.52) vs. Esteban Loiza (0-2, 11.42).
The game will be broadcast on WWJ 950 AM instead of AM 1270. It will not be televised. First pitch is at 10:05 p.m.
